I don't think she is one to talk (note the tongue). She is well on her way to winning the award for most things sat on (the newspaper).
I don't want to sound weird but I kind of have a sixth sense, if you will, about bigger purchases. I just kind of know when they are good decisions. Like some sort of big purchase super hero. We've talked a bit about trading in our van for something a bit less "soccer mom" but decided to hold off for a couple more years. Today I cleaned out the van and it got me thinking again about trading it in. I went to ksl.com and looked up Volvo and Acura. There was one Acura listed and after looking at the add, I kind of knew this would be our car. I called Ryan, who was out running errands, and told him I thought we should go look at this car. It was surprisingly easy to convince him. Maybe he trusts my judgement or maybe he secretly wanted to have something cooler than the van or maybe it was because I said the empty van was a reminder of what I couldn't do as a woman.(HAHA that's a joke) It was relatively pleasant and easy buying our "new" car. We got a 2007 Acura RDX. It's as loaded as it can get with the Tech package and turbo. The girls favorite thing is the camera that shows what is behind you when you back up, oh and they like the moonroof. They keep asking me if they can ride around with their heads sticking out of it like they're in a Puff Daddy video or something. It's going to take both mine and Ryan's big brains to figure out how everything works. Apparently everything can be activated by voice command. I look forward to the time when I can say, "Car, drive me home" and sit back to take a nap.
The best thing about this car is that I fit in it. The seats in the van were too tall and my feet barely touched the ground. They would become numb from dangling. That's how freakishly short I am. The first time I sat in this car, I adjusted the seat and it was bliss.
The girls weren't sad to see "Old Blue" go. They think this car is cool.
It has a steering wheel!

Gadgetry!

Perfect size for our abnormally small Utah family.

This is where I put the groceries.

I hate to break this to you Shea but the steering wheel is on the wrong side!! You Yanks are weird.
Looks great!
Love the new car! A little jealous:) Try not to fall off the treadmill again...if you scrape your face all up you'll scare the little 1st graders when you come to school:) Good for you getting up early to exercise want to give me some of your motivation?
Nice set of wheels!!
I'm with Rebecca..what in heaven's name is the steering wheel doing on that side? You probably drive on the other side of the road as well.... LOL!
Looks like an awesome ride Shea!
Andrea
The car suits you. I love it.
I have a treadmill story to trump your treadmill story. I was in college with my roommate at some gym. (I think that I have blocked out some of the details to protect myself.) LOL. Anyway, they had the back of the treadmill against a wall, which I found out is not a good idea. I tripped, the belt took me back, I hit the wall and was knocked down. So I was crawling quickly on all fours, trying to keep up with the belt until I could reach up and hit the safety stop. Did my sweet roommate help? No, she just laughed and laughed. Luckily, we were the only two in the cardio room at the time. I know you are surprised because I am so graceful now. Yes, age has been good to me. Whatever. LOL
Bring it on Adie and Becky!
HAHA! I can totally picture you doing that Kristin. At least you know your clumsiness is not due to age.
Love the new car! We love KSL-- got Dave a commuter car a few months ago on it.
I have also been exhausted since school started and my exercise routine has been WAY off. Trying to work back into it. :)
Hi Pook,
Love the car, I can see your Mother in the back seat with the girls, but i don't think I will fit in the back.
You get a new car, all I get is a Ipad.... sounds about right .......
Remember becky's birthday sat oct 9.........
love dad.
Nice Car!
Nice looking car! I wouldn't mind trading in our Odyssey. I've always thought it is too big for my 2 kid family. What I want is a Subaru Outback but I don't think we will be getting it any time soon.
Loving the new car Shea!! You guys looks so cute in it. Makes me want a new one myself...I'm driving a 2001.
Your cat makes me laugh and good hear to you're not hurt after the tumble.
Shea- can I call you 'pook' as well?
